This code is used when a cardholder says they didn’t get the goods or services they paid for. It covers both physical and digital products, and it applies to card-present and card-not-present transactions.
It could be that nothing was delivered, something showed up late, or only part of what was ordered was received. It’s also possible the merchant just didn’t provide the agreed-upon service.
To fight a 4855 chargeback, send evidence that shows the goods or services were provided as agreed:
Make sure deliveries and services happen on time and in full. Keep clear records and stay in touch with customers if something is delayed or backordered.
