13.2 Cancelled Recurring

[Consumer Disputes]

Details

Visa reason code 13.2 is used when a cardholder is charged after they canceled a recurring billing agreement, such as a subscription, membership, or automated payment plan. If the merchant continues to bill after the cancellation date, Visa allows the cardholder to dispute the charge.

These disputes typically result from delayed cancellations, miscommunications, or system errors. Even if the cardholder benefited from the service, failure to honor the cancellation can result in a chargeback.
